Original recipe:

Have you done this before? No

Tools for the recipe: Regular mixing whisk and spatula

Ingredient substitute: Coconut flour instead of regular flour

Experience doing the recipe: This recipe is on point. It is super quick and delicious. I warmed up the Nutella a bit as it felt a bit difficult to mix it with the eggs as I mixed everything by hand. This recipe requires arm power and strong will since the smell of Nutella makes you want to lick that bowl. I added the coconut flour and my mix turned almost into a dough. So I formed little balls and placed them in a cupcake baking pan. The 20 min bake mark was right and although I did not have a batter the brownies came out crusty on the outside and oozing Nutella in  the middle. Delicious and evil as you cannot eat only one

Would you try doing the recipe again? Yes, maybe I will experiment with doubling the recipe as the ones I baked did not last very long

Have you done this before? Yes to brownies no to Nutella and this recipe

Tools for the recipe: Measuring cups, bowl, wooden spoon and long pan

Ingredient substitute: None

Experience doing the recipe: It was a very quick recipe to make. I didn’t substitute any ingredients though I read the comments from the recipe that said to put less salt so I did. I mixed everything together and set to bake for 20 minutes when I tested the toothpick it was moist so I decided to Add 10 minutes but when it came out it was a bit hard so I wish I would’ve taken it out 5 min early. The taste is great though if you love Nutella which I do. The batch is a small portion which was great.

Would you try doing the recipe again?  I would I’d just leave it for the time that it says

Have you done this before? No

Tools for the recipe: Bowl, spatula and cake pan

Ingredient substitute: No substitute !

Experience doing the recipe: When I saw this recipe I said to myself, “this recipe must be delicious cause it has Nutella! What can possibly go wrong?” Well the recipe was super easy to follow with just three ingredients however the cook time was longer than I thought. When the time went off I used a toothpick to check the center and it was still coming out a bit raw. I left it in about 5-6 minutes more where the center was still a bit gooey.  Well overall the taste was good but it turned out more cake like than fudge like.

Would you try doing the recipe again?Probably not since I prefer my Nutella with fruit, bread or crackers! And it’s hard to keep one jar of Nutella untouched For this recipe because in my house my boys love it the few times I do buy it!

Have you done this before? Brownies, yes many times, this specific recipe with Nutella, NEVER

Tools for the recipe: Bowl, spatula, whisks and measuring tools

Ingredient substitute: None

Experience doing the recipe: So I was not having a good day when I made this brownie, as a matter of fact I decided to make the brownie because I was having such a bad day and chocolate always makes it better. So I researched the brownie instructions, took out all the ingredients and measuring tools and got to work.

For some reason i got the measurement of the Nutella mixed with the measurement of the flour. Like I said, I was not having a very good day so I was distracted. I realized that the batter was very thick and double checked the recipe and that’s when I realized I made the mistake. I thought to my self “oh well its already done so lets try it” and put it in the over.

I thought I could just try the recipe again another day and just write about that but let me tell you, the brownie came out great. It was more like a cake than a brownie. So not as fuggy, just harder and crumbly like cake. I LIKED IT! I had some of it and then the other half I cut into thin pieces and made biscotties by putting them in the oven at a very low temperature for a very long time.

Would you try doing the recipe again? Absolutely! Maybe even try to do the recipe with the right portions :)
